Community food network members

Our network of registered community food members is growing month by month and to cope with the increasing demand we are building our capacity with the aim of delivering food and related support services to over 80 organisations working in Leeds and West Yorkshire.

The food distributed by FareShare West Yorkshire contributes to thousands of meals weekly for homeless and vulnerable people. The food encourages disadvantaged people into an environment where they can receive appropriate support; and enables recipient organisations to reinvest funds into improving services such as housing advice, medical services and training, which help people to rebuild their lives.

We are currently supporting the most vulnerable people in the community by supplying a network of projects including:

• Emmaus Leeds - A charity providing housing and employment support

• Mencap Leeds - A residential home for adults with learning disabilitys

• SKYLINE- Supporting people, families and carers living in Leeds who are affected ddby HIV/AIDS.

• PAFRAS - Positive Action for Refugees

• Signpost - Family intervention project

• Leeds Youth Offending Team - working with vulnerable young people in Leeds

• Gipsil - Community project based in Gipton

• NFA - Providing medical services to the single homeless population of Leeds
